The Bridge Fabric: Why Bamboo Linen 45/55?

The 45% linen, 55% bamboo rayon blend exists because some customers find pure linen too crisp at first and want something that feels soft immediately. The bamboo rayon content does exactly that – instantly soft from the first use, no break-in period needed. This is bed linen that works from night one.

It is also genuinely breathable. The linen content ensures real airflow through the fabric. It is not as thermally exceptional as French Linen in very hot, humid conditions, but for most climates and most sleepers it is more than adequate.

A Few Things to Know Before Buying

  • Visible centre seams – The fabric comes in a narrower width, so duvet covers and flat sheets have two flat seams running down the middle. These are stitched flat and not uncomfortable, but are visible.
  • First wash shrinkage – This fabric shrinks approximately 10% on the first wash. This is normal and our cut dimensions account for it.
  • Slight sheen when new – When the fabric first arrives, it has a slight sheen from the bamboo rayon content. After the first wash, this softens into a matte, natural texture.
